The Ofeer International Theater Festival – Duodrama Edition is a cultural and artistic platform that brings together leading theater artists, experts, and institutions from around the world. Held biennially in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, in the Sultanate of Oman, the competitive festival is organized by the Ofeer Community Theater Group and aims to establish and promote duodrama within the Omani, Arab, and international theater scene through outstanding theatrical performances, specialized training workshops, the celebration of prominent Gulf, Arab, and international theater figures, and a variety of accompanying cultural events that enrich the creative and cultural landscape.
يُعد مهرجان ليالي أوفير المسرحي الدولي - نسخة الديودراما منصة ثقافية وفنية تجمع نخبة من فناني المسرح وخبرائه ومؤسساته من مختلف دول العالم، ويُقام كمهرجان تنافسي تنظمه فرقة أوفير المسرحية الأهلية في سلطنة عُمان، بمحافظة ظفار، ولاية صلالة، كل سنتين، بهدف ترسيخ حضور الدودراما في المشهد المسرحي العُماني والعربي والعالمي، من خلال تقديم عروض مسرحية متميزة، وورش تدريبية متخصصة، وتكريم رموز المسرح الخليجي والعربي والدولي، إلى جانب فعاليات ثقافية مصاحبة تسهم .في إثراء الحركة المسرحية وتعزيز المشهد الثقافي

نبذة عن المنظمين
Ofeer National Theatre Troupe is an Omani theater group operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth, and is based in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, in the Sultanate of Oman. The name Ofeer derives from the ancient historical name of Dhofar, reflecting the region’s deep-rooted heritage and its long-standing connections with world civilizations dating back to the third millennium BCE, a legacy that inspires the group’s ambition and artistic vision. The group’s initiatives, including the organization of The Ofeer International Theater Festival, are implemented in line with a strategic plan set by its Board of Directors, and represent an ongoing commitment to supporting the theatrical movement, enhancing cultural activity, expanding creative horizons, and encouraging innovative theatrical experiences, with a particular focus on discovering and presenting new voices and perspectives in contemporary theater.
فرقة أوفير المسرحية الأهلية هي فرقة مسرحية عُمانية تعمل تحت إشراف وزارة الثقافة والرياضة والشباب، وتتخذ من سلطنة عُمان، محافظة ظفار، ولاية صلالة مقرًا لها. ويعود اسم أوفير إلى التسمية التاريخية القديمة لمنطقة ظفار، والتي تعكس عمقها الحضاري وارتباطها المبكر بحضارات العالم منذ الألف الثالث قبل الميلاد، وهو ما يشكل مصدر إلهام لطموح الفرقة ورؤيتها الفنية. وتأتي مبادرات الفرقة، ومن بينها تنظيم مهرجان ليالي أوفير المسرحي الدولي، تنفيذًا للخطة والاستراتيجية التي وضعها مجلس الإدارة، وامتدادًا لجهودها المتواصلة في دعم الحراك المسرحي، وتعزيز النشاط الثقافي، وفتح آفاق إبداعية جديدة، وتشجيع التجارب المسرحية المبتكرة، مع التركيز على اكتشاف وتقديم الأصوات والرؤى الجديدة في عالم المسرح.

تدعو إدارة مهرجان ليالي أوفير المسرحي الدولي – نسخة الديودراما جميع فناني المسرح من مختلف دول العالم للمشاركة في الدورة الأولى من المهرجان، والمقرر إقامتها خلال الفترة من 5 إلى 10 مايو 2026
في سلطنة عُمان محافظة ظفار، مدينة صلالة.

Call for Participation
The Ofeer International Theatre Festival – Duodrama Edition invites theater artists from around the world to participate in the festival’s first edition, taking place from 5–10 May 2026 in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, Sultanate of Oman.
Application deadline: 28 February 2026
Participation Conditions:
Submitted performances must fully comply with the artistic requirements of duodrama.
The festival covers accommodation, meals, visas, local transportation, and airport transfers for up to four (4) participants per production during the festival period.
Participating groups are responsible for international travel and shipping of stage sets.
The festival may assist in providing selected props or set pieces that are difficult to ship.
Performance duration must be between 40 and 60 minutes.
Eligible productions must have been produced between 2023 and 2025.
Performances previously presented in Dhofar Governorate are not eligible.
A full video recording of the performance must be submitted.
Selected performances may be presented once or twice, at the discretion of the festival management.
A projected translation (Arabic or English, depending on the original language of the performance) must accompany the show (PowerPoint or PDF).
The festival reserves the right to decline any submission that does not align with the festival’s artistic vision, without obligation to provide justification.
Submission of the application form does not constitute an official invitation, but a request to participate.
Technical requirements should remain simple, with lighting and set installation and dismantling completed within a maximum of two hours.
The performance must be appropriate for diverse cultural and human values and suitable for audiences from different parts of the world.
The theatrical work must not include sexual content, nudity, or material that conflicts with religious values.
Performances should avoid addressing controversial ideological or divisive issues in all their forms.
شروط المشاركة:
أن يكون العرض المسرحي متوافقًا تمامًا مع شروط وأسس فن الديودراما.
تتحمل إدارة المهرجان تكاليف الإقامة والإعاشة والتأشيرات والنقل الداخلي، إضافة إلى الاستقبال والتنقل من وإلى المطار، لعدد أربعة (4 ) أشخاص كحد أقصى طوال فترة المهرجان.
تتحمل الفرق أو الجهات المشاركة تكاليف السفر الدولي وشحن الديكورات.
يمكن لإدارة المهرجان المساعدة في توفير بعض الإكسسوارات أو قطع الديكور التي يصعب شحنها.
يجب ألا تقل مدة العرض عن 40 دقيقة ولا تزيد عن 60 دقيقة.
تُقبل العروض المنتَجة خلال الأعوام 2023– 2024 –2025 ولا تُقبل العروض التي سبق تقديمها في محافظة ظفار.
يُشترط إرسال نسخة فيديو كاملة من العرض.
يُقدم العرض المشارك مرة واحدة أو مرتين وفق ما تراه إدارة المهرجان مناسبًا.
يجب توفير ترجمة ضوئية (باللغة العربية أو الإنجليزية حسب لغة العرض) مرافقة للعرض (PowerPoint أوPDF ).
يحق لإدارة المهرجان رفض أي عرض لا يتناسب مع طبيعة المهرجان دون إبداء الأسباب.
تعبئة الاستمارة لا تُعد دعوة رسمية، وإنما طلبًا للمشاركة.
تُشرف لجنة تحكيم متخصصة على المسابقة، وتُعد قراراتها نهائية وغير قابلة للطعن.
يشترط أن تتميز التقنيات الفنية بالبساطة مع إمكانية فك وتركيب الإضاءة والديكور خلال مدة لا تتجاوز ساعتين.
يجب أن يكون العرض ملائمًا لطبيعة الفكر والثقافة الإنسانية ومناسباً للعرض أمام جمهور من مختلف دول العالم.
يشترط ألا يتضمن العمل المسرحي أي مشاهد جنسية أو تعرٍّ أو ما يخالف القيم الدينية.
يجب أن يبتعد العرض عن طرح القضايا الفكرية الخلافية بجميع صورها وأشكالها.
